My Mission
Empowering a culture of care and curiosity so you can show up aligned with your goals, values, and vision.
About Empowered by Meg
Real well-being starts with how we think, speak, and move through the world—individually and collectively. The words we choose, the spaces we shape, and the stories we tell define how we show up and what we stand for. Through intentional coaching, behavior change, and bold collaboration, I help people and organizations create more human-centered, values-driven pathways to growth. Together, we build a culture of care where clarity leads, curiosity fuels progress, and success is measured by how aligned and empowered we feel along the way.
What is a culture of care?
A culture of care is where we create pathways to progress—not just for ourselves, but for each other.
It’s the understanding that our collective health and success is also impacted by who and what surrounds us, even if it’s not directly happening to us.
It’s the mentality and action that empowers us to do what we can right now to leave things a little better than how we found them.
A culture of care is inclusive rather than exclusive, and sees addressing challenges as an essential component in determining a forward-facing action plan.
A culture of care is the framework for how I will partner with you.
MaryEllen “Meg” Giombetti
Coach · wellness practitioner · end of life doula
I’m MaryEllen “Meg” Giombetti—a certified professional development and life coach, wellness practitioner, speaker, and end-of-life doula. I’m also a New York Times-published writer, with a deep love for storytelling and meaningful conversations. But more than anything, I’m someone who believes that real, lasting change starts with small, intentional shifts—and that everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered in their journey.
In 2009, after a decade in corporate roles and public health—including time with the American Cancer Society—I founded EMPOWERED BY MEG to help individuals and organizations redefine what health and success look like, both personally and collectively. Walking away from burnout and into my purpose is still one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
My work blends decades of experience in coaching, health education, sales, human resources, and community outreach. I bring a multi-faceted, whole-person approach to every client and team I work with—drawing from both my professional journey and my lived experiences navigating grief, trauma, divorce, and transformation. These moments shaped me, deepened my empathy, and gave me the tools to support others with grace and authenticity.
I’m an ICF-accredited ACC Life Coach with certifications in Emotional Intelligence, Stress Management, Career and Transition Coaching. I’m also a certified End of Life Doula through the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine, and a proud graduate of Syracuse University. Lifelong learning is a core value for me—and so is sharing what I’ve learned with those ready to take brave, meaningful steps forward.
Whether you’re navigating a career transition, building healthier habits, moving through burnout, or seeking a more human-centered workplace—I’m here to help you or your team move with purpose, confidence, and care.
This work isn’t about fixing who you are. It’s about remembering who you are, and creating a life or workplace that reflects that truth.
Let’s start the journey—together.
“Get busy living! Because how you show up today shapes what’s possible tomorrow—for yourself and those around you.”
— MaryEllen Giombetti
Everyone deserves the space, support, and opportunity to care for their needs and pursue what matters most to them.
That belief has guided my work across communities and industries. I’ve coached individuals facing life-changing diagnoses, led public health programs, and partnered with global leaders on wellness, equity, and purpose-driven initiatives. I’ve helped people start businesses, supported organizations through meaningful change, and proudly stood beside women-owned brands and creators. My approach meets people where they are—with empathy, strategy, and care—and helps them move forward with clarity and purpose. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans, CEOs, parents, recovering addicts, professional athletes, older adults, and folks navigating grief, mental health, and major life transitions. Whoever you are and whatever you’re carrying—you belong here.
